When I do video it will get played for shure. I did a mixed couple wedding this summer (asian/black) and they had me set up my projector and screen for a video diary of sort. Left their initials on the screen during diner and advertised speaches and cake cutting on it. When the main party dancing started I snuck some video into the mix and the crowd and the bride & groom went crazy. This got me two receptions for 2011 and they asked for some video.
There's really not much to feel, and right when you think there might be they pull it out from under you. I'm never going to throw this on of my own accord, and if I do get a request, I will likely end up mixing in and out of it.
The biggest thing I have noticed in my part of Cali alot of the current hip hop has a very club music feel. Think " Like a G6" and the like, even some of Pitbull's new stuff. I personally like it, and will be mixing it during some of my weddings depending on my clients and the crowd. Personally I have even thought of playing it at my new years eve event right after midnight.
At first I had to reflect on it after I heard the song... which tells me I am not feeling it. I am sure it will be one of the songs that will eventually make it's way into the some kind of rotation... I see it being used for grand entrances/last dances for younger couples.
