Just loaded up 4 decks and the draw on the cpu was not bad at all! Will be picking up that new Hercules controller as soon as it gets realesed.

Rockit had 4 decks years ago -- that's why I have time and money to build heaters now, while they play catch up...
Ok side note in case anyone aside from myself has a problem after the installation.
I have a VDJ icon next to my start button and it was pointed at a file called "virtualdj.exe" problem is the latest version of VDJ has renamed the file to "virtualdj_pro.exe"
The problem is useing the old .exe file is it loads but none of the new features including the new skins and splash screen appear....
So just an FYI if you have a vdj icon in your quick launch tray.... change the file name it points to to "virtualdj_pro.exe" and all will be good and well again.

So here's my question, why does one need more than two decks when most controllers I've ever seen will only control two decks?
No offense Rick but, I've never seen the point or use of it in your program either.

It let's you do more creative things, you can use multiple controllers in my case 2 HC4500's for some different mixes. A wedding won't need it but serious parties or club mixing will make things a lot more interesting.
So what you are saying I could possibly use my Numark Total Control to control two decks and my HD2500 to control the other two.... if so then what controls the audio output?
Is that independant too? meaning the 2500 would be for the output of those two decks and some other device would be needed for the Total Control decks.

You can use them for finding a cue point, pre-listening to a song, or looping a sample.
Randy makes use of a third deck, and in fact I changed the way Rockit worked for him! Although, he has still not sent the booze he promised me... :sqerr:
Anyway, there are times when they come in handy. although I don't hear from a huge amount of people in the wedding/party market that use them. Rockit (and I think VDJ), can have the same song loaded into multiple decks, so you can do phase mixing with them, etc...
You can have both versions on your pc and switch back and forth; create a second quick tray Icon for 7.0.
Same think happened when 3.0 went to 4.0
I can't stand keyboard shortcuts... too much for my pea brain to remember and too much chance for me to F it up...
A controller on the other hand is laid out according to the functions of the buttons making it next to impossible to f it up.
BTW, in my never ending series of plugs, have I mentioned that...

I almost always use keyboard shortcuts -- the controllers are just for the looks and lights
Program your own keyboard map, so you remember what each key does. You can hit multiple keys at the same time, and perform multiple functions in sync...
You are a Mac candidate...
I love my keyboards -- I get the IBM style, cause I like the feel and feedback of the CLICK.
You have 12 F keys across the top, which can easily do 90% of functions you need, and not require any brain input (helpful for those Canucks) yorofl:
All kidding aside, it's so easy, even a caveman can do it. I did a keyboard map that Faith can use -- dog barks, if she hits the right key. If she can do it, I think you Canadians (maybe even folks from Alabama) can figure it out... :yoBiggrin: :yothumbsup:
