Kudos to Steve. Great article BTW

Congrats Steve. Saw that too.

Is the FaCied a sponser here? Just curious. I'm sure there are many interested in the product.

One question I have for any fabrics I use with our setup. Is the fabric you use fire resistant/retardant/rated, etc?

I know many will use a LED fixture, but if someone were to use a halogen, or other fixture....

Cheers,

Joe

Thanks for the kind words guys. I am humbled by the nice story about me in this month's Mobile Beat Magazine. The Mobile DJ Industry has been very good to me these past 35 years, and I love this job!

Many thanks to Ryan Burger and Marc Andrews for their articles on Steve Cie (Pro DJ Files) and also The FaCIEd™ Product Review.

The FaCIEd™ is the first and only "fabric" dj frontboard to have been reviewed by Mobile Beat, and endorsed by N.A.M.E., Pro DJ Publishing, Pro Mobile DJ.com, NJDJN, and The Mobile MBA.

No, Joe, I am not yet a sponsor here at ODJT, but have communicated with Jon and Dan about it and hopefully will be soon!

This new enterprise has not yet done any advertising yet, and has been propagated by word of mouth and forum postings.

Trade Mark and Patent has been accomplished, so now the next thing to do is proper marketing and increased production.

In answer to the fire rating question, the fabric I use ( cotton/lycra/spandex blend) is fire rated as IFR which is Inherently Flame Retardant. A fabric is categorized as IFR if woven with threads that yield a product that meets fire code standards, without being subject to any special processing or addition of chemicals. IFR fabrics are expected to remain flame retardant for their lifetime, even after repeated washings. The “inherently flame retardant” phrase has been used in this manner for nearly a century now. NFPA 701. This material is actually intended for clothing.

Once again, thanks to everyone here at ODJT for their kind words of support and for your friendship!

Wow Steve I didn't realize there was film when you started. Only Kidding. Love my Facied getting ready to add to my Black Beauty.

Darn I really wish it'd get here sooner.... I really need to go take a sh...t.. guess it's back to the ol' phone book...

Hey, talk to Ryan man -- he's farther out in the corn belt than you guys :sqerr: :sqlaugh:

I think the mag ships from the East Coast though :)

BTW I would never advocate using such a magazine as shyt paper.... it was just a harmless joke so before the mobile beat police come pounding on my door I figure I better make that disclaimer..... ;)

Ooh, he's hiding from Ryan and Mike now (watch out for Mike, his name ends in a vowel like mine)... :sqerr: :sqlaugh:

It's actually not a bad rag Rob. Like any rag these days, it's heavy on adverts (me being one of them on occasion), but still a decent read :)

Rags are a tough sell these days, but Ryan's a fairly sharp cookie, and I think he's making it fresher, and bringing people like Stevie, Charlene and others into the limelight. We need that.

I still think it would sell better with me on the cover -- but that's just me...

I figured that as many "Affairs" that Steve has had in his lifetime that he was already "famous" or at least "infamous!" :sqwink:

In all seriousness, Congrats Steve! :notworthy:
