I am walking away from using the controller and getting used to just using the software completely. I have a DAC 3 and it has been moved to the backup unit and may even be removed from that.

I am not even sure how a controller would benefit anyone using software. It just seems like an extra step you have to work with to take the easy out of being computer based

Well, controllers do make mixing easier to an extent but if you know the keyboard shortcuts you can get around that.

never bought one - i'm old skool

I am not sure what they do Tom. In PCDJ, I just load up the next song, hit the button in the middle with the mouse and one song fades as the next one rises, how does it get any easier with a controller? (not being sarcastic, am legitimately asking)

If you are ready to liquidate, I might be interested.

:sqeek:

What you described is more like a human ipod/event host. I'm sure it's more than enough for the west virgia crowds you play for lol.

HC4500 for me and one one DAC-3 on one of the backup computers :D:D:D:D

I love my HD2500... I also have used the Total Control.... I absolutely hate learning keyboard shortcuts.... and prefer a well laid out controller that has buttons for specific functions such as Play, Stop, Cue.... instead of having to learn Alt+CTRL+Shift+X+Y+Z to start the next track bull****....

I use mind control... :sqcool:

When that doesn't work (usually after too many beers), I use the keyboard shortcuts for 90%, and the mouse for the remaining 10%.

I have lots of controllers, and they look pretty all lit up and stuff, but I still prefer a keyboard and mouse :)

Im using the HD2500 with my software. I like the feel of having some hands on control over the mix. And it makes for a great back-up should the laptop fail. I keep it loaded up with all my standard tracks.

Yes a Numarn NS7.

I use a Hercules RMX with Virtual DJ. The physical knobs and controls on the RMX make djing fun and allows you to mix like using real turntables. If I didn't have the RMX, I would just program a playlist and let the computer play song after song, but that's no fun... plus you can't beatmix and do all the other cool stuff without a controller.
