So i just got hired to run a full concert set-up for an artist named Wiz Khalifa on tour from Pittsburgh, Coming into town in September. They've already sold 900 tickets so it's going to be a big event...I'm gonna be running 12 18's, 6 tops, 40 foot of trussing and lighting , 2 projectors and screens, A camera with camera operator tied into the screens, 4 moving heads, 4 scanners and 24 Led par cans, 32 channel mackie board.....6 stage monitors.....4 wireless mics, 4 wired mics.....2 technics turntables, 1 pioneer cdj, and the list keeps getting longer by the day......This oughta be a fun event but when it comes to dealing with rapper's this is definitely a first for me. Has anyone heard of this guy? I looked him up apparently he's done some stuff with T-pain and a few other well known artists.

I hate bands and live acts... they want the world, and they want it loud and if they can the want to wreck your stuff.

Yes, I play his music every night. Then again I'm from Pittsburgh.

They are pretty rowdy gangsters. Make sure you have extra mics and prepare for the possiblity of things being broken.

Now that....i dunno if i like the sound of too much, i'll do my best to set it up so they " can't " break it :sqerr: I'll be adding a few things to the contract, thanks for the heads up!

I deal with them every Monday at my Club. Buy some foam windscreens for the mics, and yes they do like it loud.

Mike Jones was just here at the bar next to Kennywood park. It's a bad neighborhood, like 6 people got shot and killed there in the last 2 weeks.

Anyhow I know the guy that ran sound. The bar is a old place with a stage and dance hall in the back from the 50's. Any how the sound company has a really nice Turbosound system. They ran 12 dual 18"s powered by a 5050 for a pair. The sound guy told be they didn't want to pay cause the artist didn't think there was enough bass. They broke 2 SM58 wireless and kicked in a floor monitor grill.

I'm glad I don't run sound for rappers.
