Gang -

While maintaining two domains (mirror of each other), the navigation bar of #2 site was incorrect on the index page - so all visitors to that domain just got a static page w/ no way out.

That was almost 2 weeks. Ouch! This URL is where I have linked to referral sources (WeddingWire and etc). No wonder I would see traffic yet no inquiries.

So, I proceed to fix #2 and the Front Page complains w/ log in info. No joy... Then visit the control panel and force a password change. Well, I can FTP but still no FP access. Hmmm... I resintall FP extensions on the server. Still, no joy.

I am getting steamed as there was yet another referral I would not see. And it is 1155pm.

Now since I have FTP access I change the index page manually. hey - it works! Not so fast. Apparently FP forms are prompting for a password. Augggg!

I then learn if I place a 'www' in front of my URL, the forms work. And if I reference my site in FP and use the 'www', it too works. But is not a solution b/c several of my referring sites do not have www as part of the URL.

GoDaddy said to uninstall FP on the server and reinstall. Nope. Did not work.

So........ I just dropped the host part and told #2 to fwd to #1. And then find out the 'Contact Me' on #1 was not working as well. No wonder no leads. More augggggg.

Now, finally - all is fixed and life is good.

Life used to be so much more simple. I didnt hate the fact I didnt know what happened even the next town over until the evening news or the morning paper. I had plenty of gigs the old fashioned way. WOM.

I would stop using Front Page.
