Guys on one side Girls on the other and they dance down the middle and get back in line.

I have seen it on older movies, has a good beat.

It is not a Snowball Dance.

the Diamonds did the "Stroll" back in my day (the 60's)

Meister I guess there are a few older DJs here with some knowledge. Back in the day we had to take requests carved in stone.

Oh yeah, The Stroll.
That's what you're looking for.
Do you need the dance steps?

Strollers
A couple formed by 1 guy 1 girl at one end of the lines “Strolls” down the center of the two lines. “Strollers” use step-drag-step-scuff, vine-scuff and rolling vine-scuff in a freestyle manner until they reach the right end of the line. They then take their place at the end of the Guy / Girl line and the next couple starts strolling down the center of the lines. Variations and innovations by the “Strollers” are most welcome.

Well, back in the 50's/60's (and even before) they did similar 'routines' where people danced down the center of a 'line' of people... but it was really soul train that brought it into 'modern' terms for a lot of people... ;) That's why I mentioned it.

But yea, I feel old now.

Soul Train line!
