You know ....those rounds discs with a case that cost $1.75 to make but were marked up 500% by the record lables which forced digital downloads to become king. :sqerr:
Correction only a decade to late. I see this as a last ditch effort by the labels to regain control of music distribution. It's just not going to work. DRM aside digital downloads are a whole lot more versatile than a plastic disc.
Well, I reckon so since most people aren't buying them anymore.
Before they offered paid MP3 downloads, Amazon was doing a killer business in used CDs. They still offer them but the downloads have long since surpassed CDs in sales, new or used.
