I can use that with the 767a I am getting with the RE-2 N7 that I ordered?

It will work with the reciever that comes with your system, just make sure to get the matching frequency band. You will not be able to use BOTH the handheld and the bodypack at the same time...if you want to do that you'd need to add a second receiver...

Just picked up a 25 pack of batteries from Lowe's for about $20. They are stores brand 'UtiliTech' but for under $1 a battery even if they last 1 show it would be worth it. They say they have a 4 year shelf life. I stopped at Sam's club and they had Duracell's for $9.97 for a 5 pack.

I did an independent test 2 or more years ago, and found that out of the procell, duracell, Energizer, and energizer industrial, the regular old energizers powered a small 9v fan the longest. I tried 2 of each..

we also did a small incandescent flashlight bulb.

I have found there to be almost no difference in procells and regular duracells, or energizers, and energizer industrials.

Consumer reports showed that none of the leading battery brands outlasted any of their counterparts by any measurable amount. None lasted even 1 times as long as another premium battery.

Eveready batts have come a long way also.. I buy the 48 pack of AA's at home depot for $14, and a set of AA's lasts 3 days worth of karaoke per set. (about 18 or so hours)

In fact, if you peel open a procell, and a regular duracell, they're identical inside.

to make a battery that lasted even 1X longer, you'd have to increase the size significantly. Battery technology is such that they can pretty much pack every last bit of power into a battery now. No one has a significant advantage over any other.

Steve,

It's great that your test show that all batteries are the same, but my actual use of the product has shown me something entirely different! I am sure that the Duracells and the Procells are the same (since they are the same) but there is also a premium to pay when purchasing batteries from the local supermarket. I use to have good luck with Radio Shack batteries then all of a sudden the look changed and I quickly found out the life of the battery also changed at the same time. (I think they switched suppliers from Duracell to Eveready that is how bad the quality got over night)

I have tried the Energizer batteries several times in the past and many times I didn't get through one show with them at the very best I got through one show and the start of a second before the low battery light came on!

Eveready, I won't even bother discussing those, they have been a joke for a long time!

I have been using Everready Industrial AA's I get 48 for $19.75 (.41 each) and they are great I can use in both Sennheisers all night and never lose 3 bars. I use new batteries at every event. They also work great in my camera.

I have to admit I have used AA batteries from time to time (in my clocks) they all lasted about a year)!

I just got a HUGE pack of batteries from the local theatre. They use them for one show - and then pull them. About 4 hours of use. I'll use 'em for karaoke and other non-critical events.

To be honest, I don't know how long my batteries last. I don't use them for more than 1 wedding.

Hmm i must be doing something wrong then. I can't get my mic to last for more than two shows before the low battery indicator goes on, doesn't seem to matter what batteries i use.

ah well

Wireless mics only like the top ten to fifteen percent of a batteries power. After that they can be used in flashlights, cameras, etc.

I find Duracell's Procells to have more of that top end than the others. Could be why they are specified on so many touring riders.

I have not used a battery in many years. I use rechargeables in my SM58s and would never go back!! My loyalty goes to the TYSONIC rechargeable 9v from Thomas Distributing. I bought a few, and a car charger and I just keep em charging in my work van!! Just google TYSONIC batteries, and you will find THOMAS site...then read the spec, buy them and thank me later.
