I am trying to figure out a way to export my library to Excel, but can not figure it out.

Or if anyone has a suggestion for a program that can just scan the tags of my library and create an excel spreadsheet with it.

I'll have to check but although not free Latshaw's Song List Generator might be able to do this.... I know it will export to excel just not sure about mp3 tag reading and so forth....

Ok, I just updated the software and now export to excel is there, it is not there in the old version

Patrick need any, just PM me and let me know what you need!

I am seriously annoyed at this point, I have tried every single program that supposedly will export to excel and not one of them works. Not Tagscanner, Media Monkey, Windows Media Player or any of the others, guess I will be spending my weekend manually typing my entire song library now.

Select all tracks Cntrl A then.

File, Create reports TRACK LIST = EXCEL could not be simpler in Mediamonkey

I tried that, and 9 hours later, it was still "exporting"

I just tried it -- worked fine for me -- 1000 tracks in about 2 seconds... :dontknow:

Course, I don't need it, since as mentioned, Rockit does that even faster :sqcool:

yeah Rick, but I don't feel like taking out a mortgage to buy software :)

Actually, Rockit is quite a bargain IMHO -- considering all the cool stuff it does :)

But then, it sounds like you want to start a hot dog stand, and have somebody supply you with the meat and buns free, and you just pay for the mustard and ketchup...

Never, I repeat, never, forget the relish.

It does so many wonderfull things to much to mention here...
but I use it to name all my cd rips by Album then song # then artist then song name. I also export my collection as a webpage. it will even tell you how long it would take you to play all your tunes!

PS do not get the newer (2.92) version the rename part does not work....
