Projector Stand

rear projecton and draping is the key. I would never use front projection.

I have an old ground pod that i have used. Does your projector have a mount?

Yep projector has a mount and I would always use my other screen if possible but the venues up here can be small. Thus my reason for getting another screen when a client just wants a quick photo montage. Quick up and quick down. I love our fastfold but it is not fast to put up or down. And by that I mean like 3 minutes where this screen will be that way.

I also use equipment cases for my projector "stand." However, I also would love to have a designated projector stand with adjustable height, telescoping legs in a small footprint, maybe 14" x 16" that would be like a minute to set up and/or teardown. I've even though of making my own, but I am stumped on how to make the telescoping variable height legs for the stand and have it be "sturdy." Any ideas?

I have considered rear projection, but it would not work for me. Most of the time the only place for my screen to be set where everyone can see it is up against a wall or in a corner of a room. (Venue layout determines set up)

If I only had a rear projection, I'd be screwed.

I bring a little folding table with a black table cloth. I need it to be easy to transport & setup.
Something like this...quick easy & cheap! http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cosco-Folding-Pub-Table-Walnut/12188135

How about this one?

Throw a drape over the legs and done. :)

Ben

Ben I'm wondering if the part that connects to the legs is just a piece of pipe hollow. And then it has the little lock device. If so maybe I could cut that down and drill another hole that it would go as low as I need it to go and then leave the top piece alone so that I could adjust height. What is your take and do you think it would work. I'm a problem solver its what I do. It might be ok as long as the top piece is not longer than the bottom then it would just be useless with the top piece would simple be to long then or maybe both could be cut. I'm just trying to look at making this item work, I like it.

Looking for and adjustable projection stand that can go from about 16 inches and up. Its for a short throw projector. Any Ideas would be great, thanks.

What about a karaoke TV monitor stand? Take the side rails off and you have a tri-pod like stand with a tiltable and turnable top... a little velcro and done...

I made this which I use with Small TV or Bose AWM as a monitor.

The height might be a factor though. How about a heavy duty camera tripod with a modified top as shown above?

I still think that Ben's product option with the tube cut to desired height is the best.

I'm waiting for Ben to weigh in on that option.

Ok to answer the question... no the lowest I can get it without modification to the stand is approx 27".... it could be modified but you wouldn't be able to close the legs once done..... in the pic I have a 12" ruler to give some perspective... the side rails and mic holders easily remove leaving just the platform.

I bought two of those little notebook computer stands at Office Depot this afternoon. The are super lightweight and I like the fact that they are adjustable height for rear projection.

I have two projectors and two screens, so this worked out perfect for me, $40 for two lightweight, compact adjustable stands. They go down to about 20 inches, but not 16 inches.
