How can you take a youtube video and make an MP3 out of it or can you. A bride wants a specific version of a canon in D song. but I have no idea who the artist is or anything.

its easy as 1-2-3,download the software click on youtube download then you will see youtube to mp3 converter click on that then place the link in the box and hit download,thats it.the mp3 will then be downloaded into the folder for the software.
I use an addin called DownloadHelper -- works well 
It gives you all the options, like FLV or MP4 files, etc.
One thing I've found with it, is you select a video on YouTube, and it starts playing in your browser. You then click the DownloadHelper button to download the file. Here's the important part: Once you click download, you press the back button on yer browser, and it comes down 10 times as fast (because you are no longer watching it, and it's not paused in the renderer).

i do hope you can find the version of "canon in D song" that you seek,good luck.i know its a brain-fart thing with us humans but its a magical moment when a DJ can find a song/tune with minimum or no clue from a client.
Just add the letters abc in front of the youtube url.
For example:
"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VM_4TYQVXI"
add 'abc' like this.

I used to use the FF plugin YoutubeDownloader, then would use Switch Sound File Converter to convert the video to MP3 (this is the same converter I use to convert all my concert DVDs too)
