Do NOT tag me in a video that I am not in, and then ALSO try to sell me something. I will leave nasty comments on your post AND spread the word.... got that, fellow DJ, "Robert Allen Starkey"? :sqerr:

BTW, this DJ also tagged other DJs from this site, including Dave Windsor.

We all posted some nasty stuff on his site after this, and the video and post was removed within 5 minutes.

I have around 20+ friend requests from DJs I know of from the boards, but have never really interacted with (and some requests from names I don't know at all). I have yet to accept any of them, including the name mentioned above. I'm not looking for the most friends and I certainly don't want to scroll through status updates from people I don't know. That being said, if you've tried to friend me and I didn't respond and I should know you, perhaps I don't know your real name if you use a screen name on the boards. Which leads me to Facebook Etiquette Rule #2, unless you personally know the person, include a quick message with your friend request (yes, I know I'm just as guilty of not doing this when I should).
 
same one LeBlanc!! Hes a snake. He also asked to become a sponsor here. Arent you glad I am particular about those who represent us while paying our bills?
 
I don't mind being sold to, but being lied to in the process is a tactic I don't agree with.

If I get an email that says something like "increase your business by using my product", I have an idea what the email is about, in basic terms, and can choose to open it and read it, or not.

If I get a "friend" who sometimes talks business, and other times talks about his family (and so do I), telling me I'm in a picture or video he's uploaded, as a means of getting me to watch a video of a sales pitch that absolutely does NOT have me in it, he's just tricked me into watching his video in a way that I find pretty distasteful.
 
Someone here alerted Robert of this thread. Strange, but whatever.

He sent me a very nice apology, and I think he meant it. He and I are cool now. I don't think he thought that anybody would be upset by it....

I'm very happy that he sent me the apology.
 
I also received an apology. I wasn't that upset about it, but I stand by my views on the topic.
 
I don't have anything nice to say about DJ Intelligence. I hate their whole marketing campaign, as a result of which I refuse to buy their products.

who really thinks that someone would hack into YOUR account and the only damage they do is promote your products, sssuuuuurrrrreeeeeee. I could see if you also were tagged for videos about penis enlargement or work from home spam, but for someone to hack into his account and spam his own products I highly doubt that.
 
Okay I will let the cat out of the bag. He has also asked to befriend me on Facebook a couple times. I sent him a no thank you. also mentioned this site and past transgressions.
 
Off topic... but this old dog doesn't "befriend" anyone on the social networking sites if I don't know who they are. If yas want a Facebook or MySpace add, tell me who you are and how I should know yas. :)

I'm a bit old for imaginary friends. ;)
