I'm looking at joining one of the following vendor/networking chapters...either N.A.C.E, ISES or ABC. They all seem to be similar in cost of membership dues...if you were to only join one of them, which would it be? I realize that local chapters may vary alot when it comes to referrals, meetings, etc so I will keep that in mind.

NACE if I had to choose one because I believe they would have the most impact on referrals for you.
NACE = National Association of Catering Executives
ISES = International Special Events Society
ABC = Association of Bridal Consultants

I would tend to agree with Mitch, however as I think about it...what are you looking to gain? Each has it's own benefits to your business.
It seems...and it may not be entirely true so don't flame me...but that the big boys are very involved with one or all of these associations...and I want to be one of the big boys. Well, at least get lots more business!
I was also told that the inner circle can be tough to get into but being a member of one of these groups is a starting point and involvement is key.
Haha...if you're going to look at it that way, then ISES is the more exclusive of the bunch. I wouldn't even consider ABC then, join NACE (more immediate possible benefit) and work towards adding ISES.
And actually, the big boys have their own semi-secret invitation only assoiciation (and I'm not talking about the WED Guild).
Well I looked at the membership roster of both NACE and Ises and NACE - at least in my area - has many more recognizable wedding djs that I respect than ISES...hmmm.....
