Mic's

Mine are almost all Sure.
SM58's, Beta 58's. A few 57's & beta 57's. A couple of SM-48's for thrashers.
Both my wireless's are SM-58 Heads. Tryed EV N-Dyms & nobody liked those. I have a couple Samson 3 for a buck for kiddie stuff.

We've got a shure wireless, an old gemini wireless and 2 shure wired

Mostly Sennheiser. 3 ew100's g2's. Love them. Work excellent.

I do have an audio technica lav

AT and Sure both corded. At times that I need a wireless I rent one always a Sure

Shure wireless & Shure wired.....Will probably move over to a wireless EV system in the future. :sqwink:

My two main mics are EV-RE2 with headset and lav mic, and my Shure PGX wireless with SM58 mic. I also have as back ups and for karaoke use a couple of Audio-tech freeway 200's... which for cheapies they aren't so bad.... heck one survived me dropping an amp rack on it that weighed close to 70lbs right on the head and despite the damage to the screen it still works just fine.

I was once told that the EV RE-2 was very comparable to the Shure SM 58 Wireless but less expensive, is that true? Does it have that natural clarity to it?

How the heck can I answer this thread

It all depends on what I am doing.

The vast majority of my mics are Shure both wireless and corded.

4 SM 58's wired

4 Beta 58's wired

2 Beta 87's wired

4 different Peaveys wired

2 EVs wired

2 senn vocal mics wired

1 set of audix drum mics wired

1 set of senn drum mics wired

12 Shure 58's wireless

4 Audio Technica wireless

1 Telex wireless (probably older than most of the DJs on this site)

condenser mics (not counting the two Shure 87s)

1 MXL Tube mic

1 MXL 88

1 Audio Technica 4040

1 Audio Technica 3035

1 Shure KSM44

1 Shure KSM25

What I want now is the newer Shure KSM 353 but I am a long way from affording that one! But it my dream to have it in the studio one day!
