Hi Everyone,
Just set up my own DJ buisness and have got my 1st big gig tomorrow night, only i have just loaded up the laptop and all of the tracks sticking at random points!!!! So i'm panicing bit time...does anyone now what is going on, i'm using PCDJ FX VRM

By sticking I assume you mean PCDJ hangs. Is this a laptop or a desktop PC? Are the music files on the internal hard drive on an external hard drive? Is your machine dedicated to PCDJ, never connected to the internet and have all virus & spyware scanning disabled? Do you have an external controller?

It is on a laptop, the music is on an external hard drive. I do have virus scanning though. Should I disable the internet?????

I use PCDJ for my gigs and just brought the new American Audio Dp2 with the Pcdj Dex and it works just fine.I would probably start by shuttting down everything but the Dj program you are using.Hopefully this works for you.

I suggest copying some songs to the local hard drive and see if they play OK. If so, it's an external hard drive issue. Assuming that is the case, try disconnecting everything else that is USB attached leaving only the drive itself.

I know you're not going to want to hear this, but your timing is WAY off. That's the lesson here.

Good luck pulling it all together. Make sure you have a back up plan.
