Weddings Typical Wedding Reception Format

Greets all. I thought I would share with the group, a typical wedding reception format/timeline that I prepare for each of my couples.

Keep in mind that this is the format that the couple drew up and I have just put into script form. I provide everyone that has any sort of responsibility for the reception (photog, videographer, banquet captain, etc.) with one of these.

The one I am sharing here is for my Oct. 10th couple. This one has not been finalized as of yet, as I just sent the first draft tonight to the Bride for confirmation and any changes she wants to make.

Enjoy.

ok just one question:

whats a typical wedding reception ??

mine are never typical
they are never the same and every wedding is different!

my thoughts, too...Dennis
I have your basic planner that I've used for years...
but every couple, and every hall, seems to have their own plan on how things should go.
so I tend to re-type all the info to make it customized.

Not trying to take away from your efforts, Spark...
I'm impressed you actually send it as a draft
and then move on to a finalized version.
Once I get the info back from the client, I edit it for my own purposes only

Maybe venue staff are a little more laid back or forgiving here, but y'all make it sound like they run rough-shod over you guys and your planning attempts.

I nail down the order and flow at the second/final meeting with couple, print it out, and we're done.

From then on, vendors and venue seems to snap in line with whatever.
