I think it looks great Kirby your look as a work in progress is coming along fine. I do think sometimes we become too anal in presentation. Balance this, spread that, Cover something. Its neat and clean and if it worked for your client and you felt good about it, I applaud you.

OK. Bro I understand. If you are interested in learning how to overcome that problem to be able to get the placement YOU want instead of what is given to you, PM me and I'll share with you. It works every time for me. I don't want to take up your thread anymore.

It's all good..... :)

I'll PM ya, and you can learn me sum stuff! :sqerr::sqrolleyes::rofl:

Can you tell I watched an episode of Beverly Hillbillies tonight?:sqwink:

Thanks Jon, I'll have to see if I can dig out some pics from a few years ago :puke: to do a then and now comparison....

Remember, I don't just want to be 1% better, I wanna be 2 1/2% better than the last time...:sqconfused::sqlaugh::sqwink:

Lookin' sweet, Brother Kirb. I like. :)

It's refreshing to see photos here of a real FOH system for a change. ;)

Thanks Fred.. :)

real FOH system for a change .....and what's that supposed to mean?......:sqeek::sqrolleyes::sqwink:

looks clean,,, but if you are wanting WWID,, to me it doesn't look "balanced"

I would put one 4 Bar behind or by each speaker stack and the Weids, right behind me..

I would get "O" clamps for the other two lights, the VUE and Scanner and put one one each 4 Bar below the pars...

OR hang the Weids on top of the cross bar and hang the VUE and scanner under them...

Balance.....

I like it and I also agree with that dudfe over on the rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean :sqwink::sqwink::sqwink::sqwink:

Due to my wardrobe malfunction, I didn't have a lot of time to capture pics. I was able to shoot a couple quick shots of the setup for 08/29/09....

Let the critiques begin! :sqembarrassed::sqrolleyes::sqwink:

I like your tall, fat, love sticks there Kirby!

Looks awesome Kirby

The speakers are 8' apart. How far would you have gone with them? And if I did spread them out more, what would I hide behind?

Like Houston I like to get as far apart as possible but as you said you were limited by space

Balance.....

That was the first thing I thought too

mmmm nice set of Cans Kirby :)

AS for the spreading thing, I agree it should be done but I work both ways. The difference is when I get in a situation where I can't "spread em" I but them close together (side by side) Anytime I am using subs I will place them either 27 feet apart or if I can't, they will be touching (side by side)!

That is not to say that there isn't the occasion where I won't setup exactly as Kirby has them setup here!

Looks great. How big of a room and how many people at the event?

More room than people! :sqwink: Maybe 100 people at the most.

I felt like I was in another room since the closest table was over 30' away.

So Steve, if I paired up the stacks (subs and mains), I'd have no problems? Or would I?:sqembarrassed:

Don't forget that one of your most valuable allies with your EV gear is the Engineers. Form a relationship with them and they will be able to answer your questions and concerns better than anyone. Your seller NLFX is also a great source of information.
