Yes. It has more to do with the controller you're using. Can you tell us what controller you have and what it is that you want to do with the lights?

I have the Chauvet DMX-55 controller. I would like to be able to let them run sound activated and still have the control to black them out and allow 2 Oceanic lights take over or even a strobe.
Well, that will be a bit of a challenge. On some fixtures you can access sound active functions via DMX values, however, on the Q-Scan 250 you cannot. Therefore, if you want to run them via sound active on DMX you will need to program all of your colors, gobos and movements, and then have utilize the controller's sound active function.

There are LOTS of self-help videos out there... a billion dollar industry... LOL. However, specific to the DMX-55.... not that I'm aware of.

not as efficient, but,,, can't you link them, put them on sound activated mode so they both do the same thing, and then put them on an on/off controller,,,
