Ended up being pretty wet!

Bride and Groom told us that there would be no alcohol provided or available at their reception....Evidently that didn't stop the guests.

After the party poopers left early in the evening the Groom's friends and family made some trips down to the liquor store and the bottles of Crown, Hennesey, Wine, etc., along with plentiful cans of beer started appearing. The bride and her bridesmaids had some special drink stashed away for their own consumption also....

They importation of alcohol into the venue was only possible because it was a community center that they rented for the day and there was no one to stop 'em. :sqwink:

Sure livened up the party!

They should have invited Rick, just run a tap to one of his veins :D:D:D:D:D:D

By the look of some of the eyes in the crowd, I'm thinkin' that some "blunts" were being passed around in the parking lot! :sqwink:

Gotta love it.

Sometimes at "dry" receptions, the guests will hide it in 2 liter bottles or go out to their cars for a nip. I sure remember that.

Prohibition never did work. :)

Well in defense of the Bride and Groom they weren't prohibiting it....they just weren't providing it as they couldn't afford it.

Relatives did a lot of things to help out, like providing the food, decorating, etc. Just like the olden days! :sqwink:

It turned into quite a party! :)

In fact the last three hours, I probably played a few songs that weren't old R&B, Funk, Old School Hip Hop and believe it or not Rap.....:D Lot's of dancing and sweating was going on! :)

Did a dry Christmas party once, because it was a American Legion or VFW and no booze was allowed inside, but there was tons of it in the parking lot. The owner even gave me a bottle of Saki, that was flown in that morning from Japan.

umm this post is worthless without sweaty photos.

LOL, we'll be getting to those later....We probably shot close to 2,000 images so it takes a bit longer to load and go through 'em....

It was soooo good that I even got to play "Stanky Leg"....:sqwink:

It was a long day....

As of last Tuesday evening we were told that we could get into the venue to do our setup of sound gear on Friday night.

Friday morning we find out that the venue had been rented out for Friday night so we couldn't get in until Saturday morning.

We had already booked our hotel room, so we just went ahead and drove there on Friday night to get a good night of rest.

We got up on Saturday morning at 4:15 am, showered and went to the venue to set up at 5:00 am. Set up the gear, did a sound check and left to go take pictures of the girls at the beauty parlor.

Took pictures from 7:00 am to around 8:15 am, then scooted back to the hotel room to eat the free breakfast they provided. Jumped in the shower again, changed into photo taking clothes and drove about 30 minutes away to the church.

Got to the church before 11:00, set up the cameras and lighting and took pics before the wedding until about 2:15. I change into my DJ clothes at the church and continue taking pics until the Bride goes down the aisle, then I hightail it back to the reception hall to be ready for the arrival of the first guests. Coreen finishes up the group shots with B&G and their families then joins me shortly before the B&G arrive.

I started dinner music at 4:00 pm and played the last song at 11:00 pm. We were loaded up and ready to pull out of the parking lot shortly before midnight. After a drive of a little over 1 hour we finally arrive home.

Anyone want to hang with us on the next gig? :sqwink:
