Yah, yah....I know we have the option to turn them off, but I do enjoy them for the most part....but damn, some of them are larger than a normal post.

Do you really need to put a manufactuers logo in your signature? Do you really need to put your business card in your signature? I doubt your gonna get any bookings from posting on a dj message board to other dj's.

In some cases, the sigs are better than the posts...

I have no clue why it is so big, the original file is not even that big! (trust me, I have tried to get it that big while remaining readable)
Actually guys....and Dan can back me up on this....I mentioned it several months ago. I was not calling out anyone in particuliar, but it did seem as of lately the sig line was being used more to promote something other than it's intended use.
My pet peeve, is people that constantly change their sig and avatar :sqerr:
I get easily used to eye recognition -- so I'm used to seeing the same avatar or sig, and I don't even have to read the user name.
Quite frankly, I could care less what people put in there, just leave it -- it confuses my pea brain...

Note to self....add a reminder to calendar to change both avatar and sig line every other day and post constantly!
It's been awhile since staff received gripes about big, honkin' sigs. If memory serves, Dan smalled down an image for one member who didn't know how. Otherwise, the ones with those huge images don't post often anyhow.

Yeah sometimes the size gets a little out of hand but it's no big deal if an image annoys me I block it. Unless it's uber annoying to someone other than me, I generally don't 'police' signatures. As for the equipment logos my guess is some people think they're being cute and want me to say something about. I can wait until they get bored and take it down on their own.
Other than that one of my biggest pet peeves are people embed images and blow my tables out. Please don't embed a 1600px wide photo, no one really has a screen that big and you blow my tables out. :nah: I normally just save the images as and then attach them to the post. Folks if you don't know how or cannot be bothered to resize your pics just upload them here, the system automatically resizes them.
