Here's a pic... sorry its so blurry
At any rate, it was a very small show that is put on two times per year by a local dj service and one of the venues in Folsom, CA. 8' x 8' booth - they provided one 6' draped table, and I brought mine as well. No sound running, though I did have the rack and CD-MIX2 powered up and meters blinkin away.
It's really super small in size/traffic - and at +/- $400 registration fee for a booth, it is a pretty safe investment (I'm hoping).
I definitely got out a lot of lit at the show in the form of some tri-fold brochures I made in Word for a show two years ago (professionally printed of course)...
And My wife had the idea of giving away some kind of promotional item so I decided on wrapped cookies. She went to Michaels and got some cookie bags and we bought a bunch of Costco cookies sqbiggrin and individually wrapped them in the bag.
My 6yr old daughter and I made a project out of hole-punching business cards that we then strung onto the tie-wraps to close them up.. so you can see them in the pic.
Got out a lot of those, and I had a ton left over, so on the way home from the show, I stopped at the dollar store and got some little baskets, and dropped some baskets with cookies and brochures off at area tux and gown shops.
I'm really banking on the residual calls from this one, and am waiting for the bride registration list so I can send out my usual email/snail mail blast campaign.
I have some peeps I talked to who did sign up specifically to be contacted, so hopefully I'll snag them!
