Hi Friends,

Well, I am very excited to now be able to offer a photo booth with my entertainment services. We just got our new Open Air Photo Booth from Nick Andrews at www.openairphotobooth.com . We got to play around and take some pics in the booths at Mobile Beat Vegas. My wife and I liked it so much, we bought one.

We hope for sure to offer the booth at weddings but also we're going to use it at our Eskimo Sno store and stands throughout the summer for the kids to take pics with their sno cones!!!! Hopefully this can advertise it to the many customers that frequent our stands and store.

I'll be messing around with the layout of the pics to include our logo and other info.

Chime in anyone else that offers a photo booth, b/c I would love to hear how others do it!!!!

Here is a pic I took with my doggy this morning with our new photo booth.

I hope there is an extra charge for this! Last thing I want is my clients expecting this from me for free! :sqlaugh:
Go for it Dude! Its your business. Just watch that bottom line (Not the one of the gal in the booth )

I will get some pics of the actual booth as soon as I can, Chuck. You can check out the www.openairphotobooth.com website for pics of the actual booth also. We went with this one b/c of the ease to set it up and break it down. You don't need a lot of room to set it up or any extra size doors. Also you don't need a big trailer or van to transport it. We can fit it in the back seat of our car if needed.

Dude, that is sweet. Like Chuck said, the more pics of this booth you can get up here, the better.

So whats wrong in hiring a pretty gal with a digital camera, tripod, back drop and Computer/printer to do the job?

Um, how can we be part of the economic stimuli if we don't spend as much as possible.

Houston plan: < $1000

Snowconeguy: $4999.99+

Snowcone loves america more!

For those that have and use these at receptions, does the photographer give you any crap about it being there?

I could see these being nice at corporate Christmas party as well as a wedding.

I think I may have posted one in my mobile Beat log thread. In case I didn't, here are a couple...

Maui,

Other than destination weddings (seem perfect for that), do you find any resistance or apprehension from brides or hired professional photographers?

Hey Rox,

Most brides love it. I have also used my photobooth for corporate events. A few photographers were taken aback by saying, "oh so now you're in to photography, maybe I should become a DJ" with that I respond with "this is NOT photography, this is entertainment". I have also noted in my searches on the internet, that many photographers are now offering photobooths!

MBM,

Once again, "this is ENTERTAINMENT, NOT PHOTOGRAPHY". A lot of the photographers that I spoke with regarding my photobooth, thought it was a great idea. I even received a gig referral from a photographer. I used this twice this past Christmas for corporate Christmas parties and it was a big hit. Funny thing is that the photographers at both events jumped in and got their pictures taken as well! I found this out by reviewing the pictures on the computer, after the event. Yes, it's digital and all of the pictures are saved on your computers HD.

So I guess these print with an ink jet printer on photo paper. What is the average cost per printed sheet, and how do you charge for the booth?

A flat rate with a limited number of prinouts or by the number of printouts.

For private KARAOKE or mixed karaoke/DJ events, I carry a digital camera and send a free candid photo CD to the client afterward with my thank you. I find the pics remind them of the good time they had singing, and it gets me repeat business and referals, as they share the pics with friends..

I don't do it with straight DJ events, since I prefer pushing Karaoke.

The booth can be a good idea, but unposed shots help ME more.
