Bill my only two experiences were dated and they had great potential but the construction of the boxes were questionable. Being a cabinet builder by trade over the years I have knowledge of box building and the construction lacking. I have heard these in a show room and at DJ provided location and there was alot of rattling going on. I feel the ampl, ification and the components exceeded the structure of such. My minimal experience but due to very minimal revues I have almost similiar expereince to those who dont own such pieces. I stand corrected but the construction and the recent reconfiguring out of China would steer me away from such units. I chose my Dynacord overpriced units with this as part of my decision making process not to mention footprint for any event.

I chose the Power Sub 15 and am currently adding its twin passive version and use VL262 tops. Worth every penny but certainly not for the faint of wallet. They were purchased through savings for upgrade. I bought the system from our sponsor not only as support for this site but because of exceptional integrity in service as well. Keith Hired Power has a different system as does Q'dUp Sounds. A few others here have like Dyna systems and everyone who heard them recognized the incredible sound they produced most noted in the bottom end.

Bill are you looking for just the tops or a complete subs and tops system? I would be more than happy to help you out the best I can with pricing and specs for anything that you are looking at.

I don't know if I've heard the specific QSC Model that your asking about, but the ones I have heard are the 3way powered ones, and although they do sound good, I wasn't impressed with the performance of them at moderate to loud volumes. If these are going to act the same way, then I would say stay away from them if you do loud shows.

The issue that I am commenting on is the built in limiting. It was VERY annoying. When a loud part came up, you would definitely and very noticeably hear the limiters kick in, and then when the loud part was finished, the volume ramped back up again. I told the guy that he just didn't have enough rig for what he was doing, but it's what they got in the building and that's how it goes I guess.

Low to moderate levels and they'll sound good probably.

As for the Dynacords, I believe the power amp for the complete system is in the powersub315, then you just run wires from the sub to each main. The Powersub 315 can handle another passive sub hanging off of it also.

Here are specifications if you want to check it out more:

And no, I'm not affiliated with either company, just submitting my 2 cents worth and some links to information for you to check out yourself!
