Is anyone playing Music Bingo?

I'm planning to start this week I just bought a bunch of 3 card paper bingo sheets.

http://us-bingo.com/cart/cart.html?tp=more_info&sku2=BP-3x8-100

I will make a list for each night. Each number 1 to 75 will have a song assigned to it. When someone gets bingo. They will win a prize. I plan to make it fill the card so it will last the entire evening.

This will be use primarily at karaoke and the filler songs will be what people are looking for.

I will look into other variations. But I think this may be another good bar idea

For Karaoke make cards that have the artists listed: 25 artists per card:
When a singer sings a song by a artist you mark off card:
encourages singers to interact with upcoming singers to get them to sing a song by a particular artist..
We used to give away drinks and bar tabs
there are a couple of free bingo software programs on sourceforge.net I got that made this easily also with master list.

Cam,

I like the idea and may very well try an adaptation of it in one of my college bar gigs.

I think maybe do it with the karaoke songs (I don't use filler music) this will allow singers to actually get together and sing songs to fill in the bingo line.

I think it would likely bring a lot more varity to the mix of songs that are sung during the night. Each card could have a full mix of oldies 80's and newer songs to pick from sort of forcing the crowd to move away from their same old every week!

I brought it back and it has worked very well. Some nights it's only karaoke songs, some nights its only filler and some nights I do it with both.

It is great cause it gets people singing different songs.

Many times for karaoke version I just list artist instead of songs to give people more to choose from.

wish the bar i DJ at could handle something like this but it would get to crazy. Lost a speaker stand last weekend from a fight, cracked the leg on it and it was an industrial "on stage" brand one. Thank god my brother in law was there to catch the speaker.

That gets my vote for a reason to carry liability insurance!

This could DEFINATELY work where I am because there a lot of heavy gamblers where i live. It would allow me to do what I love the most, which is the karaoke AND it would allow the non-singers to participate

I love the idea, thanks for sharing
