I was up to date with my monthly subscritions for Top Hits Monthly Pop and R&B discs up until August. I didnt' have any karaoke gigs so I didn't buy the 9/06 discs on until last week.

I just ripped all my discs and to my surprise I couldn't find any of the new Justin Timberlake songs. Where is SexyBack? Why isnt' it released for karaoke?

What other new songs are missing?

Sorry...not a new one but I can never find "Way you look tonight" Frank Sinatra version when I go out and sing. Why is that?

Basic,
Maybe they have denied rights for karaoke here in the states for that song. On the european sites / manufacturers it is available, (Sunfly & Sing to the World).

Buckcherry - Crazy B*tch is a definate NO NO for karaoke, they have denied rights for any of their new songs. I heard some people have made their own versions for karaoke.

Dawg,
Try Sing to the World, they have a version of it. The audio clip I listened to sounded ok, but wouldn't know about if it has the correct words or swipes, but STTW is usually good on their renditions.

The Music Maestro version of that song is terrible, the swipes are just off a bit.

Pocket Songs is the only other manufacturer that has that song.

It's a hard song to find, go figure?

Hmm, I guess I could try that. I have the software to create my own cdg files so that may be a good idea. I only used the software to create different versions for songs I already had in karaoke format.

I never thought about removing the vocals from a song and then writing my own cdg file. Sounds like a plan.

Because you don't come to my show, of course. I have it by (gulp) Sweet Georgia Brown, Music Maestro, and I have the Fred Astaire version on Sybersound, which I like best..
