Has anyone heard of or used these record pools?

Its basically a site that hosts videos and music and states that only legitimate dj companies can use their service.

For $10 a month you get unlimited downloads of music, sound effects, and videos. Thats right... videos too. These videos are supposed to have intros and outros so they can be esily mixed. They also offer mashup videos.

I dont know about the quality as I have not used this service. I am hesitant to use it without finding out about it first.

im also looking to get into record pools soon
some of the ones im looking at include ZipDJ and 8thWonderPromos

its a good source of new music before it hits the mainstream
some are more expensive than others but you get what you pay for

Legit Record pools will require you to have certain, verifiable credentials and since you will be getting promo product you would be expected to give feedback on said promo product.

Doug they do require you to give feedback on the music you download. You must state that your are a DJ and what type but I have not found any where in the site where you have to submit actual proof.

I don't know about the download site, but back in the day when you rec'd physical product, part of the record pools purpose was to gather feedback for the labels.
