External hard drive power plug

I have 2 lacie external hard drives and want to buy 2 extra power plugs for them. However I have never purchased anything like this before and do not want to buy the wrong ones. How would I be able to tell which ones to buy?

On the plug it says
output; 12v---- 2A
input 100-240v
50-60hzs 0.8A

I am beginning to build a new case based on Hanks and want to have all of the wiring on the inside prewired.

is it a proprietary connector on the end?

I does not look like it. It looks like any other plugs you get with these type of devices. I will post a pic of the plug when I get home.

If its like my LaCie drives, it is proprietary. The power plugs look like upside down S-Video jacks. Your best bet is to call LaCie and order a replacement power adapter.

I was able to get one for my Acer at Radio Shack.

Setting up the lappy is a few less steps now as I use it in my rig and just pull the usb and power plug out of the box.
