Fastest Way to Import CDs?

To many ads? Support ODJT and see no ads!

I am currently in the middle on putting my library on computer. I am using Exact Audio Copy to import the CDs to my portable HD has MP3 files. Its working fine, however; it takes forever! First it imports the file as a WAV to a temporary folder, then it converts it from that to MP3. It takes on average 15-20 minutes to import an entire CD. Does anybody have a solution to this?

Yes Brian, please read this tutorial -- it was written by a man of wealth and taste ;)

If you follow it step by step, use the software suggested (FREE, I might add) -- you will have yer CDs in very quickly, and have time to do other things :)

BTW -- don't do the ripping direct to an external drive -- they are SLOW. Do the ripping to an internal, then copy to the external ;)

Note to self: Remember to deposit money next time, instead of blowing it on gear, booze, cheap food, and cheap women... :D

with all of the money I made last year, I spent half of it on booze and cheap women.........








and I just blew the rest.

In AudioGrabber, click the Settings button, and right at the top, it has an option for:

Directory to store files in

:)

Won't let me change it. I clicked the "Browse" button, but not given any options beyond the default of "audiograbber" on the C drive.

Click the drop down box at the bottom, select the drive, then double click the folder you want them to go into.

It doesn't work for some reason. The drop tab only lets me choose the drive, but doesn't seem to get me to the complete list of places on the C drive (the only one available on that drop down tab).

I give. I can just drag and drop them from the file it chooses to the folder I want. Thanks for the help.
