Folks, wanted to share a success story with you.

After several months of procrastination, I finally got me a small video clip of my gear in action. I had four leads out when I uploaded it to my website, so I sent them all an email alerting them of the new addition.

All four looked at the new video and all four have booked, with all four telling me that it was the deciding factor. I received several compliments on the video.

I knew it would be a good marketing tool, but I wasn't really sure how good. And, I can't imagine how much better it could be considering all I have is a small 20 second clip. I do plan on improving what I currently have.

I used Myspace to upload it and embed into my website because I'm also going to work on creating a Myspace profile too.

Randy your web site looks awesome. I had to take a double take on the schools page as the shot is very much a similiar one to my schools page. I looked the second time and realized it was different. I initially thought wow he didnt ask me for that picture lol after the fact I was ashamed for the thought. The video clip is great now edit it into a montage and it will look even more professional. Congrats on the return.

Good for you. I suggest getting a video with a full dance floor. This video has 'sold' my services more than once.

Google Video

Thanks for recognizing that there aren't any dancers.......I need to make that a disclaimer on my website. I did that in my email, letting them know that this was taken after the event. (That's when I remembered the camera!)

Thanks JT! I actually need to update those photos with some new ones. The second one isn't really a school event, but those ladies were so darn hot! :sqwink:

EDIT: Pics have been updated.

Glad to hear you had success...
I was considering video for a site
but was so worried about what SONG to use in it.
I was concerned that the WRONG song in a video
would give the wrong impression of what I do.
(song is too over-used, too new, too old, too hokey, too boring, etc)
but hearing your stories
has made me re-consider

the only "video" I have with me
doesn't even include me
it was a groom singing along with Bust a Move to his new bride.
it was a classic moment, but the video (shot by a guest) is awful
