Hey Bose-O's..... I have a question.

Hey Bose-O, length doesn't matter, it's the girth that counts.

Did you try Ben? It's a standard locking speakon cable, isn't it?

No, I don't think so. The Bose has an extra wire, I believe.

Hey Son,

If I'm not mistaken, I seem to remember something about the distance between the B1's and the L1's, being critical to the sound reproduction they were trying to achieve, and the wave dispersal...

Maybe Cap could better answer that...

I think it is more about keeping them centered and together, as opposed to actual distance from the L1's.... I am sure Cap will chime in.

It's just a 4C speakon cable, we definitely have those Papa. :)

Ben

Are you sure? ( look at me asking Ben if he knows something technical.... :sqwink:  ) Is there another type? I know that this one is different than a standard speakon....

So if you have them, expect an order.

Cap was very clear when he told me that the cables while they look like standard neutek wires they are different and in fact are 5 wire connectors not 4.

I'm absolutely sure of this. But, to be safe consult Cap or Bose directly... heck your manual if you care to read it should confirm me right or... wrong too.

I stand corrected read the following wiki entry

If you're talking about the B1 bass bin it is a Neutrik NL4FC with 4C cable. Cross my heart. Have I ever done you wrong Papa? Other than the walk to Bootleggers? ;)

Ben

OK, I will be ordering.

Ben's right, have to be the 4C, not just a standard 2C

Yeah, I knew there was a difference, but I wasn't sure of the specifics.

4 wire cable, Rob. I didn't know they made a 5 pin Neutrix. Sorry if I left you the 5 wire impression. It's 4 (four).

At the time I got mine, Ben was not offering, or at the minimum, not advertising these cables. If I were to do it again, I order them wired with right angle connectors. One little other cable length ordered was a pair of 2' 6" to go from the i/o of the stacked B1s.

By the way, if you need XLR cables, his personally branded cables are outstanding.

Rob : I don't believe so.

Over-thinking perhaps, but never can be accused of not enough.

Remember who was working with you throughout the L1 phases, start to finish, with you!!
