This morning while adding music to the ol' CPS there was an Engelbert Humperdink song I needed to work on, so while I was there I decided to refresh my memory and am in the middle of my own little Engelbert Fest (current song -This is My Song )

It's always refreshing to hear actual talent singing with real musicians.

Which is why I love doing retirement community events.

Indeed. Englebert has a great voice and stage presence. He has released some very nice waltzes. He played a dual role in a Love Boat episode years ago as a popular singer and a guy who couldn't seem to make it onstage. It was fascinating. Might have been Fantasy Island... but I'm thinking it was Love Boat.

When I was a pup in the early '70s, my Granny got me hooked on his music. She loved Englebert and used to refer to him as her boyfriend. I always think of her when I play his music.
