OK,,, I just got the humidity and Off one!! LOL That's cute...

I have mine at 192,,, not sure which it is I use Audio Graber and don't remember picking that option....

I have some way old 50's odscure stuff at 128...

when all the new technology came in I did this test at a hotel once to see what is what and asked everyone all night what was I using

I had a CD setup
I also had a set of Turntables
I had a Cassette deck
also had a reel to reel with 1hr of pre-recorded music on

also had a laptop (for testing only)

not one person all night got anything correct (on the odd occasion a record would be the obvious (scratches lol) )

if the system/speakers are setup correctly and its all works
then you try and see what sound sounds better
is it a laptop ? is it CD's is it Cassettes or a reel to reel

I know I couldnt when its this loud and you have up to 200 people talking, dancing yelling etc etc in a normal hotel pub situation

now in a house/home style I say use CD's or ripp at a high quality as it sounds better, but on the road it doesnt really matter what quality you use as they would never tell...

192 in [sic] more than enough and you do not use more hard drive space.
Pure subjective opinion. I can hear a difference between 192 and 320. Hard drives are inexpensive. Case closed.

Been using 192 for years now and no problem using it. The Majority of the clients will not even hear the difference between the two. Most of them will have had one too many before I even start playing. When you have 1-2 cases no problem but when you have many it adds up. 192 works for me and It all fits on my hard drive laptop. No need to take an external to the gig. Also, I can extract at a faster rate than 320. This is why I use 192.

What works for me might not for you.

320 CBR for me.

So here it is Bryan you say you can hear the difference

I wish it was setup at say the Djshows on what things sound like as I have stated above... >> my previous post <<

this way you can see in a CROWDED room you can NOT tell the difference (except records when you hear a skip)

When I used mpegs it was VBR 192 - I now use flac and wave.
