1. The text below the picture should be centered on the page.... maybe even justified if you prefer not to center the text then just justify it accross the page.

2. Ditto on your wedding page

3. On your Partners page you might consider highlighting each vendor.... alternating from the blue to the white..... for example shade the first one but don't shade the second one this will give separation to each.

4. I see you have that Testimonial on each page... you might consider using a colored text box for this.... to kinda separate it from the other information on the page.

I'll be honest overall the site is pretty bland.... But, it does get your message accross. I just don't see anything that would touch me emotionally.... you need to think like a woman... maybe even get a woman's perspective.

Choose an alignment and stick to it. Every page, except your home page, is justified left...that's great, nice strong alignment. Your home page uses both center and left alignments. Center aligned text is harder for the eye to follow, especially down an entire page. Find me any major corporate website that center aligns an entire page of text.

Maybe add Headers to the Partners page (Officiants, Photographers, Venues, etc).

Can you adjust the colors of the Music Search box to better match the rest of your site?

I don't mind the white, it's fairly common in web2.0 design these days, however some color could help you Pop. Perhaps something like this, which uses a similar layout...

OK...I felt the same way about the white background and after numerous attempts to change the color (I am using a program that is supplied by wedj and it doesn't work right) I switched templates.

Please take another look. I am trying to get a logo image made for the top of the page to replace the text.

I'm guessing there is some reason to have this on the main page "
A+ Digital DJs serve all of Northern Michigan. Wedding DJs in Northern Michigan. Northern Michigan wedding DJs. Wedding entertainment in Northern Michigan. Castle Farms, Inn at Bay Harbor, Bay Harbor Golf Club, Bay Harbor Yacht Club, Odawa Casino and Hotel, Waterfront Conference Center, and many other venues too numerous to list. "

but personally, can you hide it or something?

again, on your Interview page you have this at the bottom..

Petoskey News-Review · Gaylord Herald Times · Charlevoix Courier · The Graphic Weekly · MiSeasons.com PhoneGuide · Northern Michigan Search · ShopSmartUpNorth.com · Northern Michigan Autos · UpNorthHealth.com

do they give you a link?

I'm not a web guy, just ask Travis, but I don't think, since it seems that you are going after the Wedding market, that it is "frilly" enough... I think more brides want something, more,,, umm,, Weddingingly" is that a word? LOL

I would say it is.... Solid. But...

I would change the color scheme. Feels very 80's (not retro 80's art deco 80's).

I wouldn't do mixed alignments until you are ready for it. It just seems a little off. Get everything center aligned. I would also try playing with using graphics and building the website that way (with slices) rather than through a website building program.

You have some good content, but you need to work on style (often if your website isn't slick, no one will stop to look at your content).

Take a look here...

An old website of mine

I put that there to hopefully aid in search engine results.

I am removing these.

I totally agree with you on this. I am just not good at this yet. I'm seriously thinking that I may be out of my league with this and need some "professional help"

Esoteric...who did that website?

I did Michigan DJ.

No shame in admitting that you need help (boy I sound like a 12 step program), most DJ's are auditory artists. You guys do what you do with your ears. I make my money with my eyes. Visual art is very different than auditory art.

I made my money based on the fact that some very talented people know what they want something to look like, but hav eno idea how to bring all their ideas together.

If I may...that isn't the best color combination. And it looks worse when combined with the blue Availability Checker or the red Music Search. I liked the white better.
Sorry bro...just my two cents.

And speaking of color...while it's nice that you want to alternate the colors on your Partners list, the blue you are using is the default color used for links, so it's a bit deceiving. Also the roll over color for the actual links doesn't contrast well with the peach (or is it Flesh) colored background. I see no real reason to alternate the colors, but hey...it's your baby.

Just for fun, I browsed your music looking for Styx. Glad to see you have a few from my favorite group. While I was scrolling (and scrolling, and scrolling) I noticed two things. First, you have several listings of the same song. For example, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Baby Got Back is listed 3 or 4 times. Nothing to differentiate each one in the artist/title list. I can appreciate if they are different versions/mixes, but without clicking each of the speaker/sample link, one would not know. Also, I noticed that you have Sisqo, but the 'o' is missing, so it says Sisq and the song "Thong Song" is missing the 'ng' and it says "Thong So".

I realize you have a large library, however double checking for accuracy in that library is a must!

Hope that helps!

Like I have always said while presenting something for review. BRING IT!!! HURT ME!! ABUSE ME!!! Dang Im starting to sound like Chuck From Maui.

Photos:

I don't like that photo on the home page. The most prominent thing is a woman's back.

That same photo is in the gallery TWICE! Does it need to be there at all?

I'd use #9 on your home page ... on your business cards too!

Get rid of photo #7. Nothing but backs.

Get rid of photo #1. The only thing it shows is a big sign / advertisment. (While I'm at it, get rid of the sign too!)

Interview:

Put blank lines between paragraphs.

Who is Beth Anne Piehl? You need to make the fact that this was published more obvious. Perhaps scan the magazine cover and use it on that page.

Are you affiliated with the Up North Big Band? Get their paragraph and photo off your site. Or put their link on your partners page, where it belongs.
