Karaoke Players - What's Best

I've been using the RSQ and JVC triple Decks successfully for
several years for karaoke and DJ.......... Still using CDG's for karaoke,
but have added mp3's to the DJ lineup.....

I have a CAV's 203G in the office, but am not too fond of it - I don't
think it is nearly as user friendly as the JVC's and the RSQ's.......but,
I would like to come up with a great CDG player that also plays mp3's -
so wondering if anyone has any suggestions ?

Anyone using the RSQ NK2000U - it supposedly will play about everything,
and being RSQ - I suspect it is more user friendly and common sense than
the CAVS stuff - biggest drawback - only one tray - I'm really stuck
on the triple play units.........

Any experience or suggestions appreciated (short of - use a computer :sqrolleyes:)

If you find a triple tray that will accept MP3s ( I assume you mean via USB connection) at this point I will EAT it. As a matter of fact, finding new triple trays at all is very difficult.

If you burn the MP3s to disc, most of the newer players can play them. If you you need a USB connection, you will probably be looking at single drawers like the V2GO or a Pioneer. I don't even know if there are any DUAL drawer players thet do it.

Since I prefer working with 2 singles as opposed to 1 dual, I use a V2GO as one of them-just in case of emergency.

Just go Digital all the way! New technology makes life easier, searches faster, less load to carry around etc. The time has come laddie!
 
As far as the best CDG players....................that would be the long ago V10G from Pioneer, I have six of the V10Gs all still work and some are over 15 years old none are younger than 8 years now.

As far as a good one capable of playing both CDG and MP3G there aren't any.

The V2GO is actually made at the same factory as the Pioneer .

Although unfortunately only available as a single, it's not too bad a machine ( going on 2 years) and it DOES have a USB port.

As for a really good player with a USB port? I agree with the Thunder Man.

However, you never said whether you need a USB port, or only wish to play MP3s burned to discs. If that's the case, there are a LOT of players that can handle them, as well as play DVDs, JPEGs, and a bunch of other crap.

Sorry, don't mean to start the old debate. I simply meant, for learning prposes, it may be a good idea to put an oscilloscope on MP3s and then on a disc using the same song. What you see may be of interest to you...

I have one of those in a crate - far as I know still works perfectly, but
I like the JVC/RSQ's better - and they have pitch change as well...
 
You still haven't said whether you want to play MP3s from discs or USB port. Let us know and I will give you brands and prices....
 
Well i re-read the little blurb they have about the machine/link i posted and apparently it does both disc and usb stick..

still $500 is a little too much for me to justify at this point *lost a gig a while back*

The V2GO is under $200 and can read off of a memory stick....
