You probably could have a strong web presence if you know a little SEO and work all the free sites really well. It would take time. The guy ahead of me on Yahoo doesn't have a website

Honestly I probably have the worst website on this board but I rank very high in the google, MSN, Yahoo, and Alta Vista rankings in my market. As of three days ago I was mentioned in all of the top 10 spots on Google. It kind of catches me between a rock and a hard place I keep saying I am going to build a better website but by doing that I could lose my ranking

Good question Scott. I personally don't know of any in my area that would fit this description, but then again I've never really researched it.

Also good points. It's probably not likely, but possible and I would agree that it would take some time.

Let me throw another point out.

When we use the word successful, isn't that something that each individual has to quantify by their expectations for themselves and or their business?

To give an example:

My successes in bookings and profit would not be considered as successes for some other DJ for themselves. My expectations and results may not meet their expectations and results.

Does that make sense or have I had too many sodas today?

Makes perfect sense to me. Each of has our own defenition of "success". We all have different obligations, goals, desires, and family commitments.

Unless the reason is given were just guessing.

I did not want to start a thread or participate in a thread about smoking during a event, I just wanted to bring it up as a other example of a DJ leaving the booth that detracts from what he was paid to do.
 
The thread was split in accordance with the author's request. We do that around here from time to time.

It's simple. Post in the appropriate thread or start a new one. Everybody good with that?
