Noises That Bother You...

The sound of a vacuum cleaner. I have to leave the area.
The other thing is this cockatiel bird. He starts chirping in a very high pitch tone and never shuts up. Drives me crazy and is the most annoying sound I can think of. This bird is pretty old and should be dead by now. I wonder if the cat would hurt him if I let him out of his cage.:sqwink:

Ok, Hank beat me to it, so I'll give my choice for my #2 irritating noise...

The slow drill that the dentists use...grind, grind, grind..:sqeek::sqeek: For some reason the high speed one doesn't bother me.
 
I'm with Wes - bloody hate ringtones. Also I cannot stand the sound of people yakking on a bluetooth earpiece in stores

The noise that really bothers me is the noise in SEXY CAN I by young berg that sounds like grinding brakes.

You're not alone on this one.... the JCPenny's in my area has much the same system except at one door the frequency is off just a bit and I too can hear it....

When I hear someone eating it drives me bonkers... same goes with the morning cereal when a spoon is scraped against the bowl.... is enough to send me to the moon.....

When I was a kid I could hear the TV come back on after we kids were suppose to be asleep and it was mom and dad time....
 
I HAAAAATE the sound of other people kissing. Mouth noises really set me off.

I also can't stand when it's really quiet and I can hear the cat (correction, her cat) cleaning itself...sends a shudder down my spine just thinking about it.
 
Sporting event announcers have got to be the most irritating sounds ever.

Those bucketmouths are constantly yacking and they aren't saying anything. Then when something of note supposedly occurs, they'll interrupt themselves and start shouting. It sounds like they sat on a loaded bear trap. :eek:

OK, gonna weird you folks out a bit. I have something called Tulio's Syndrome, and offshoot of Meineirs ( I know it's spelled wrong-can't find the paperwork) Syndrome.

For me, it's not a matter of not LIKING sounds, but rather their effects on me. Those close to me know better than to run a vacuum cleaner in my presence. Many ( but not all) will make me EXTREMELY angry. I once threw a vacuum through a diner window. ( When I Vacuum, I can use a Dirt Devil upright with no problems- all a matter of frequency. It's the older model canisters that set me off most.)

Slap a couple of Corell Livingware plates together and I might get dizzy enough to lose my footing and fall.

I had to stop riding my Sportster XLCH - gave me neck and forehead pain.

A doctor once told me I'd be better off living in a silent world.

The funny thing is, 99.9% of all the stuff I hear professionally has absolutely no effect. Can't figure that out, considering that it almost HAS to cover the full hearing spectrum. Too much bass can be a bit bothersome, but as for music, the only thing I can think of that gives me a bit of a jolt is the beginning of Zeppelin's Immigrant Song if treble is set to high...go figure.
 
We dont play any britney spears around here ..... but some of us sure would like to get into her pants........
