Well call me the copy cat but with my Bose system I plan to place a LCD ontop of my Bass Bins.

It would be right now, I still have to get the other half of my system. I hope in the next month I buy this tv.

Or maybe I can buy it now and Put it on my Best Buy Or Sam's Club card.


What size TV should I Use?

My Guess 42"

I feel there is no need for 1080p My guess is 720p would be fine I only plan to use it as a title screen or karaoke screen or 3rd music video screen. I have 2 projectors for videos so this will not be a main screen.

Help? Comments? Ideas?
 
I would recommend you get a 1080p because there is NO standard set at present for what HD will be when broadcast. If 1080p/1080i becomes the standard you may have some problems correctly viewing the picture. That is one of those little talked out quirks that is yet to be set. True, broadcasters can transmit in any format... at least for now. However if you have a lower res set and they do pick the 1080p/1080i as the broadcast standard, you may be faced with another tv purchase. At this time the FCC is only concerned about get the tv stations off analog and digital up and running. They finer points wil be sorted out later. This info was told to me by a tv engineer.

One other 'word of advice'.... Go with an LCD vs Plasma...

This was Cap's advice to me if you're planning on putting your TV/monitor on the bass bins.

Maybe put a rubber anti-fatigue mat on top of the bass bin and then put the TV on the mat to dampen the vibrations. For a $10 investment, in the rubber mat, it can't hurt.
 
LG - 1 year warranty on most models and they can be hard to find service for.

Keep in mind, if you use this TV in a commercial environment, you may run the risk of voiding your warranty.

I would start by finding your local service centers, then choose your brand. Sharp, Toshiba, Sony are 3 good brands. LG good too....but 1 year warranty.
 
Any anti-fatigue mat from Home Depot or Lowes. Maybe even a couple of black mouse pads under each foot to dampen the vibration. For a $4 investment, it could save a $1,000 bucks.

Yes! 6 PVC 3 way elbows(To connect), 4 short tubes (For height over Bose), 4 long tubes (For length/width over Bose), 4 Short tubes (For Depth around Bose)
Piece of Plywood measured to fit top. Paint everything black!

BTW you will be building a stand over and around your Bose so that there will be no vibration to TV. Stand disassembles for easy transport.
