This needs to be said.

You add much professionalism and enlightened debate to this board.

You and I have had what I perceived as an argument on occasion; however, hindsight indicates that it was not an argumnet on your part; my ego got in the way.

I enjoy a good debate. To stay concisely on point I generally don't soften my retorts with alot of cautious congeniality. That gets a lot of peoples panties in a bunch - especially if a difference of opinion is not something they want to hear.

I'm not as cold as the posts imply. I would just rather fill the board with 10 good, short, DJ relevant responses, than 1000 cute greeting cards.

I think you two are part of a unique group - because you actually read a post to decipher it's meaning and then answer with your own un-contrived thoughts.

Too many folks just throw stuff up too see if it sticks - without ever supporting or taking ownership of it.

You do know that Bob Moffett and Bob Carpenter are two different people don't you? He really is in Rhode Island and I really am in Taxachusetts.

I really appreciate that BP thread where ProFo does this very detailed analysis of BP pros & cons, and basically saved me ALOT of typing because I would have liked to have said the same things, but haven't and won't out of respect to JA.
 
I never met John Allo, despite playing gigs in his backyard for the last 20 years. But I imagine he was no different than any of us, and he knew that there are pros and cons to every idea.

You have to pick and choose the pieces that mate with your own puzzle.
 
This is what makes ODJT different, we can stick to our guns in a debate but we've all added a level of maturity to the discussion we can disagree, but there are no insults flying around or uncalled comments. Kudos to everyone on this site.
 
That's why I recommend everyone read:

"How To get Along with Everyone" - by Steve Martin.

It's not entirely his own work. He wrote it with this other $#!+head A.....hole, Jack.....A.. who I'm not going to mention because I wouldn't give him the G... damn grace of an ounce of credit!

But that book changed my life.

I've been reading Bob's posts on all the boards since I've become a part of the online DJ community (going on 8 years).

He is a true business professional, very grounded, sees things for what they are, and has a solid acumen that I'm in total awe of.

I find myself, very often, nodding my head when I read something he writes.

To say the least, a post like this was a long time coming.

Thank you for all your contributions, Bob.

P.S... I always chuckle at everyone who refers to him as Performance and not Proformance.
