What Brand of Rack/Case if any do you use? If "other", please explain.

Other. Our normal rack has lost its logo plate. (It's the one I got from my dad when I bought his older equipment.) Our biggest rack, for special occasions, is an Odyssey. Our tiny rack for supplementing sound is an SKB. Future racks will likely be SKB because they are durable and lightweight. I do still feel somewhat attached to carpeted racks, though, and would still consider using Odyssey again.

EDIT: Maybe I'll use both and have SKB for amps under the table and Odyssey carpeted racks for above the table. :)

had an SKB for years
served me well, and I never had a problem with the latches as so many others have told me.
I always like the light weight and mostly water-proof shell.
traded up to a "no-name" GMI slant rack, cause I like the design of them.
dont really like the carpet, but it works well for me!
had plans to get an even bigger Odyssey slant rack when I added my digital unit, but couldn't hork up the cash.
decided to move some of the gear to a smaller SKB
and split the weith between them.

SKB molded cases for everything, Baby. :)

The only thing I don't like about SKB's molded cases ~ when you've got a lot of weight in one, it's a two-man lift. While very durable for road use, they're not ergonomic for one person to handle.

i have (2) Odyssey cases. (They look like aluminum diamond plate)
They are great cases take a good beating.

I will be joining Val in the "built my own cases" club soon.

I need a road case for my 2 flat screens, and i need a better set up for the addition of video....So i'll make a case to put my new goodies in too.

Also in the works: (2) stands to mount my flat screens on.
I plan on taking a bunch of pictures during the construction to show case my mad skillz...:sqlaugh:

I'll more than likely build a cable trunk, and a lighting case while i'm making a bunch of sawdust....Stay tuned

I have used several of those listed but none have held up like the SKBs which now other than my home built boxes SKBs are all I own!

Gator for the Denon mixer and Denon disc players....Odyssey on wheels for the amps, eqs, etc., Misc. stuff in SKB, and the old gear (mixer/disc players) in American Audio.:sqcool::sqwink:

I voted other because I use both Road ready cases for my turntables and mixer but I also use SKB rack amp and for my VDJ set up a brand new SKB shuttle (love it so far!) I also have a back up set of turntables in an old oddysey coffin.

Main DJ Case is a customized SKB 8x4 Shuttle.

Ceremony / Live sound console is a 10x6 SKB.

DMX board (Martin Freekie) is mounted in a Road Ready mixer case.

A spare setup - Denon CD1000s & a 10" mixer in a Odyssey case.

My Apple Macbook travels in a Road Ready case (pick-out foam).

Oh, and my hard drives travel in a UDG Denon 1000 case - holds 3 external HDs & all necessary cords securely.

Glad to see you don't play favorites!

Nope - if the case fits, I use it!

Actually still looking for a pair of slip-over cases for my 2 moving head lights... I received quotes ranging from $150/each to $350/each... so I am still waiting to see who'll get the business.
