I know very little about photography but I have to rant that I HATE what I'm seeing the local photographers doing on their shots these days. Not talking about subject-matter or creative capture, it seems that everything I see posted, and by some reputable camera artists, is always washed out and it just bugs me. When I'm starting to pop better shots with my little T1i, and very little editing, something is just so wrong with this picture. Anybody else notice this trend in your area?

Not to diss anyone, just an example. I respect this guy, HIGHLY, but perhaps you can see what I'm talking about. I wouldn't even want washed out stuff for promo, even if the photogs would send it to me. </rant>

I've seen a bunch that try to make their images "ethereal" sort of heavenly like. That and the trend to use white backgrounds has made people over-expose shots.

He used to be a DJ could not get any Gigs so he sold his Pyle Pro Equipment and bought a Camera phone. :D

Please post a picture that you have taken. I have some comments but want to wait...

Rick unless your a fulltime Photographer then you will understand how shots are taken

your a Dj NOT a Photographer so stick to your job and let the pros do the real work

this gets on my goat when some thing they can do others

oh are you registered with the APPA (American Professional Photographers Association)
if you are then the complaint can be registered with your member number

I would be happy to pass it on for you

have a nice day
