I hope I am not stepping out of line here. Unless someone is being really verbally abusive, I don't see the need to be absolutely clinical. We are all supposed to be adults here not a bunch of Cry Babies! If I say something stupid and someone wants to call me an "AZZ" I have no problem with that in the context of which it is said. Calling someone "stupid" or an "idiot" is not in my book being derogatory. The reasoning that caused that sentiment to be expressed is what should be questioned. If someone, even me, shares something that they are doing that is indeed a stupid thing to do, what is the problem in calling out that person?
Sure we have to be nice to each other but for cripes sake, do we have to sugar coat everything? A super sensitive person can be offended by just about anything but that does not mean others will. So who is to judge that a statement is indeed offensive? Personal attacks without a valid reason is another thing and I think we can all determine when that is happening!
Remember, there is always the "ignore" feature. This forum is filled with a lot of people who are very opinionated. If one posts a Gig Report and expects only "pats on the back" they will be sorely disappointed. If one knows they can't handle the criticism then DON"T Post them.
I hate feeling that I have to watch my every word for fear of offending someone or anyone. I am a straight shooter, I call it as I see it.
