So who is playing tomorrow night?

This guy! Setting up at 10am! Doing the full Sound/Light show w/ uplighting as well as countdown clock projected on the wall with a confetti launch at midnight. Crowd expected to be around 200.

So the night started off light. Almost like a middle school dance except everyone was hunkered down around the bar. But with $1 beers and $3 mixed drinks I can understand why.
Got going really good around 10. The crowd was a great mix of ages from 20s to 60s. Ended up playing till 1:15 and got nice tip as I was tearing down.
Unfortunately my facade was destroyed when a drunk guy came up and leaned on it. He lost his balance and this is all that’s left. His foot went through it and down it went. Luckily the beer he was holding didn’t spill on anything f. This photo shows what was left of it.
The only positive was that I knew the guy from high school today and he met me today and gave me cash to replace it. I’m sure if I didn’t know him I’d be out of luck. e56cd1bafc278f4f4ab5acf7217cfeea.jpg

I guess you could say another plus was the two inquiries I got the next day about weddings coming up from guests who were in attendance

At least he paid for it!

...Wait a minute. You mean he didn't decide to sue you because your equipment caused him to fall over on the ground, thus requiring you to call your liability insurance company?

Imagine that!

People don't have insurance because someone 'should' sue you - they have it because they 'could' sue you. Insurance is all about risk. The risk is if something happens, who's pocket is the money coming from - your pocket .. or theirs.

If you knew without a doubt that you would never be in a car accident (even a single vehicle accident), then it would be foolish to obtain vehicle insurance. Because you don't know, you get vehicle insurance. Because some were foolish enough to believe they won't get into an accident (and were - and the costs associated), it became a law to get it.
