This guy! Setting up at 10am! Doing the full Sound/Light show w/ uplighting as well as countdown clock projected on the wall with a confetti launch at midnight. Crowd expected to be around 200.
So the night started off light. Almost like a middle school dance except everyone was hunkered down around the bar. But with $1 beers and $3 mixed drinks I can understand why.
Got going really good around 10. The crowd was a great mix of ages from 20s to 60s. Ended up playing till 1:15 and got nice tip as I was tearing down.
Unfortunately my facade was destroyed when a drunk guy came up and leaned on it. He lost his balance and this is all that’s left. His foot went through it and down it went. Luckily the beer he was holding didn’t spill on anything f. This photo shows what was left of it.
The only positive was that I knew the guy from high school today and he met me today and gave me cash to replace it. I’m sure if I didn’t know him I’d be out of luck.
I guess you could say another plus was the two inquiries I got the next day about weddings coming up from guests who were in attendance
