i did a little looking on the forums and didnt see a post about this so if there is one sorry for re-posting ;)

What im looking for is a mount for my new Sharp Notevision XR-1X DLP projector, i would like to add it to the top of a pole. If that makes since?

Baiscly something like the pic bellow (sorry for such an old pic its the only i could find haha) except i would rather not have it roll.

Any ideas on products or a way to setup?

Matthew...Dang I wish I had some pics...I can get you model numbers, but I made a bracket using parts from global.

Essentially, I got a piece of wood where I mounted the projector and then below the wood I got some parts from Grundorf that allowed it to sit on a speaker stand AND I could tilt it downward or side to side. Fully articulate and works perfect for monograms.

Here's the External Speaker mount

and a Speaker Wall Mount

Essentially, starting from the bottom, you attach the pole mount to the speaker mount, the speaker mount to the wood. Drill holes in the wood that match your projectors screw holes and get some black handled screws from the hardware store to secure your projector.

I even bought an extension from Grundorf so my projector can get to 12' in the air.

it will be used for video mostly.

thanks for the info you both, its got me thinking how i should be able to do it now ;)

Another question somewhat related, do you happen to know how i could get a truss stand that would NOT use the standard tripod of the truss but something flat, like that could slip under something. Bellow is a sample, not good but should give you the idea of what im thinking. basicly the poll of the truss would go into the shaft ;)

yes :) would be better if the shaft was on a side tho? but if not that would be just as well i asume... happen to have a link to one of those? im sure its prob for a flag or something but havent seen anything around my neck of the woods.

I bought the one that Wes shows above. It works great for the projector. I also use it with a small laser attached to the speaker handles. In the dark it appears that the laser comes out of the speakers. Thanks Wes.
