Anyone using WS_FTP Home to upload to their site.

I created my site with IE using the view source and inputting the "HTML" codes manually a few years back. All worked fine.

I lost my free WS_FTP when I cleaned up my computer.

So, I download the 30 day trial version from their site.

I can get to the site and it goes through the motion of transferring and it says it has transfered, but the changes don't appear on my site.

I am now running Google Browser and not IE.

Suggestions with problem please?

Rick: What version of WS_FTP are you using; Home, Office? What program are you using to create your web pages?

I use the Home version.

I use Front Page to design my sites, but don't use their extensions, or upload stuff -- just drag and drop in WS_FTP, and there they are :)

Make sure you clear your browser cache, or refresh a couple times after uploading changes...

Before I start changing anything or downloading new software, does anyone think maybe my problem could be that I created my site using 'HTML" codes in notebook.

My "HTML" codes may have been fine for the old IE browser, but now that I'm using Firefox as a browser, did you think maybe it's causing problems?

Got the Portable of WS_FTP here no hassles at all

All browsers read HTML, all my sites were written in notebook. Bits of your old code may have been deprecated, but thats hard to say without seeing the code or the site. And most deprecated code will still parse in most browsers anyway.
