I had a small local bar gig scheduled tonight nice gig great place one of the very few I still play at on a fairly regular basis, the Flu hit me early this morning and had gotten progressively worse. I reached out to a few of my compadres and had a replacement lined up within 20 minutes. I rarely miss a gig, however at this point without a bathroom within about 5 feet of me it would be an embarrassing event.

Make sure to take a Covid test. Mask up if you go anywhere. I have a cousin and her husband both with Covid stuck at their house last few days. She got the tests and they both tested positive. He is sick and his birthday was the 29th. He just turned 63. They are both taking paxlovid, and something else prescribed by their doctor. It's nasty just like the FLU.

I gave up on worrying about Covid after about three months of the medias fear mongering, it’s just another virus I’m sure I had it about three months before it made headlines took some me over the counters meds and was back to normal in about a week or so, more people die from the flu every year than ever did from Covid

Oh, nay nay, kind sir.

In 2025, roughly 75,000 died of covid versus 55,000 who died from seasonal flu. In 2022, 245,000 died from Covid 19 in the US versus 17,000 from seasonal flu. Yes the number compairson is drawing closer, but Covid-19 remains the leading flu killer.
