whom I have not heard from in a few years.

She and her group were my NYE clients for several years running when I lived in Virginia. They always booked me for the following NYE as I was packing up at the current one. I honestly cannot count the number of referrals I received from this group over the years.

These folks are more than clients... they're like family. We all went through a lot of life changes over the years. Y2K was the last of a long run of NYE shows with this group.

Evidently, she must've come across one of my bbs posts about retiring (search engine technology is amazingly tattling so be careful what you post). I responded to let her know that we were just taking a much-needed break from the biz.

But I digress. Part of her recent response follows:

Well, it's good to hear that you haven't "quit" the biz... like I said, you ARE the best! I get out my scrapbooks from time to time and, oh man, the memories! We had a New Years Eve party last year, had a local DJ (if you could call him that), he was horrible. A lot of people made the comment that "he ain't Fred, is he".... THEY ALL REMEMBER YOU AND MISS YOU!

Everyone sends their best to you and Shirl, and if you get back down this way, be sure to let me know!

It's folks like these who make it all worthwhile. :)

Thoughts?

Really nice Fred, That's great that they appreciate you so much!
