ok here it is i was at my local pro shop today and i saw the jbl JRX125 speakers. i have never used jbl before i heard them in the show room not bad but really took me by suprize was the price they were 349.00 a pieace is this a good deal and are they worth it? i would just be using them for outside partys, any feedback well be appreciated..

Its seems like a decent price as they seem to be selling for between $399-479.00. The JRX series is Jbl's entry level speaker, I don't think they are the best construction wise. (I've seen them brand new out of the box with the joints falling apart.) I always say if you like the way they sound that's all that matters cause your the one that has to listen to them the most. Not everyone can afford Bose or Dynacord, or for that matter like the way they sound. That's why they make different flavors of ice cream.
I think NLFX had a super deal on the JRX dual 15" cab just recently. Scroll down to the middle. I am sure they will match or beat the price you found.

The one shown in the link is a JRX 115 (Single 15")
The JRX 125 which I sometimes use is a dual 15" with a horn. I like the sound.

i love my peaveys to i have 2 sets of sp4s and a pair of sp2s.. just wanted to pick up a pair of jbls jrx cabs for small gigs.
been using the same JBL's for about 15 years
bought the TR-125's and they still sound great...
in small rooms or large outdoor gigs.

My apologies, I was thinking about the JRX 115 comparing to the Yamaha S115V. I'm not familiar with the dual woofer 125 model at all. And yes Joe, I did own the Yamaha S115 monitors. They sounded great, but I had a hard time lugging them around at over 60lbs. each. They were way too big and heavy for me. My friend who has a sound company has them now and is thrilled with them. I replaced them with a pair of Electro Voice Sx100s. Thanks for asking.
