Maybe it’s lust???... Not sure???[emoji1] I’ve been needing a new laptop for a while. Instead of buying a new laptop last year, I bought an iMac and a refurbished Dell Latitude. The Dell was fine for an interim solution, but I still need a new laptop. So I saw this one and WOW!!!...

... 18.4” screen, i7, 16GB, and 1TB. Great graphics (overkill for what I need). Gets good ratings online. Price??? Meh![emoji1]

Anybody own one of these???

True, but more power than I need. They’re powerful enough for gaming, so SHOULD be more than ample for what I do. I’m not a video gamer by any means.[emoji4]

...AND 18.4”... that’s HUGE!!![emoji4]

I do think Alienware computers are pretty good computers, though.

Why do they put Windows 10 HOME on all these Area 51 computers??? GEEZ... Pro is not that much more $$$![emoji1]

Unless you're doing domains, is there really a difference on a single user system? If you're not doing virtualization or need encryption, Home is a lighter weight and slightly better performing system. I suppose the upgrade control might be useful, but I haven't had issue on Home.

BTW, on the Alienware config page, you can substitute WinPro for $60.

I would guess most gamers and people editing videos don't need the pro version.
