The bag for my base unit had the zipper break. Is that covered under the warranty? If so, for how long?

Both of mine broke about 6 months in... Bose told me to pound sand, then tried to sell me an extended warranty that they assured me would cover such repairs...
I now just deal with the broken zipper..
That company sure is changing....
