Both of mine broke about 6 months in... Bose told me to pound sand, then tried to sell me an extended warranty that they assured me would cover such repairs...

I now just deal with the broken zipper..

That company sure is changing....

They went from super helpful, and a joy to own, to money grubbing a-holes who won't answer a single question without getting paid first.

Hugh : Should be no problem.

If not, go to your point-of-sale person and have them go to bat for you. It's an after-the-sale intangible that separates lip service from actual results. It shouldn't be just BOSE backing you up. Your dealer should be too.
 
Steve : How long ago was this? Where did you buy your L1s? What was your dealer's response to the problem?

I ask because that extended warranty program you mentioned was only offered for about 4-6 months and that was like three or more years ago during the days of the Model Classics which were discontinued March 2007. Back then, the power stand had a one year and the speakers five.
 
Mine are great, never had a problem and I think I'm over 2 years in. And I am NOT NICE when it comes to gear....
